For quite some time I have always believed that I should have grown up in Europe. Just about everything is better there from my perspective. The things in life that we Americans see as "exotic" and as an "import" are in reality are part of the common everyday experience for someone say from London. The flashy BMW's, for those of us that don't quite live in the most ritzy areas, artsy fashion, foreign films, stricter gun laws (sorry my extreme conservative side of the family, I love the sound of guns but, I think that there should be harder gun laws in place), good futbol games, and did I mention much better cars? I thank my lucky stars that I have the great privilege of driving my Mini Cooper and that I do live in such a wonderful country such as this one which seems to be going down the drain like the rest of the world. But, what would I not do to be able to see a REALLY GOOD futbol game in person. I LOVE soccer, as we Americans call it. But, we American's just don't know how to quite create the experience. Our players don't really know how to play (they're lazy!), the fans don't know how to be FANS, and it's just not quite the same as the way our brothers do it in Europe. After attending the Real Salt Lake game, I was reminded of these facts. There was some good futbolling but for the most part it wasn't all that entertaining. It's a good thing the Euro cup is going on right now so that I can wash the bad taste of american soccer out of my mouth with. (Tomorrow Spain vs Italy! GO ITALY!!!)

Dude, what's up with this anti-America sentiment? What are you trying to be Barack Obama's Vice President? And about our lazy athletes, that sure makes the rest of the world look dumb considering we lead in the metal count at every single olympics... By the way, you should forget about Europe and come to China to teach English..... lots of cool cars in Shanghai. Love ya bro.
Hey! Love the blog as usual, it was fun taking pictures that night! Sorry America is lazy... thats what happens when people have what they want and need without needing to do much for it. Lazy attitudes are developed! Definatly not in you though! You will be able to do whatever you want because you will push past everything and work hard to get there! Good luck with everything... I hope all goes well. How did your musical number go on sunday? I tried to wish you luck... did you get the message?
Well Cam, having just recently returned from our Eastern neighbors, I can say that I definitely prefer living in the US over Europe. Yes, some of the cars look nicer, or from a different perspective more economical, just about everything else is less-than-grand. The lifestyle, the structuring, the culture just doesn't have that same... oh, "free" ring to it, if you know what I mean.
I love soccer too. I just about cried when Spain won. My poor Lahm just didn't have what it took to stop Torresss. [but at least he got carded later, so my sense of justice was apeased.] Lets move to Europe! I'm soooo down.
